While the name The NolaCaribe Connection, LLC has only existed since 1997, it's owner Geraldine "Geri" Simpson, has been in the travel/hospitality/wedding industry for over 58 years. First as an outside travel sales person in Los Angeles, where she was introduced to the then CTA, now CTO. She studied the travel business at the Los Angeles Trade Tech Airport College. She then began taking groups to the Bahamas and planning trips for members of the Los Angeles West Indian community where she learned more about their homelands. She then studied Convention Service management and other courses through AH&MA which she utilized when she moved to the island of St. Croix in 1979. There she worked for the hotel association, developed the islands People to People Program, managed a local family owned hotel and continued making travel reservations through her travel agency for 18 years. There she also was a wedding and event planner, owned a restaurant and belongs to such groups as AFWPI, therefore is very familiar with the ins and outs of that industry.
Geri and the Nolacaribe Connection are specialists in the Caribbean, but holds specialization certificates in many areas and have traveled to many of them. Currently, Geri is a Princess Cruiselines Commodore and Disney, USVI, Cancun, Grenada, Trinidad/Tobago, BVI, SuperClubs, Dreams/Secrets, Carnival Cruise Lines, SilverSea, Wyndham, AmResorts, Langham, Cayman Islands Family & Dive, Panama, Bahamas, Wynn, South Africa, Destination Weddings/Honeymoons, Hyatt, Intercontinental/Asia, New Orleans are amongst some of the many certificates she holds.

The name the NolaCaribe Connection was born out of the many similarities she found in the Caribbean and her hometown, New Orleans, LA.
